Backyard Beginnings In Los Angeles
The Park’s Finest started in 2009 as a small catering company in Los Angeles, California. It grew out of backyard boogies, family gatherings, and late nights cooking with friends. In 2012, with support from family, friends, and the neighborhood, the doors opened at 1267 West Temple Street. What began as party food became a full sit-down experience.
LOS ANGELES BBQ WITH PHILIPPINE ISLAND ROOTS
This is Filipino American BBQ from a Southern California lens. American cuts of meat meet Filipino flavor. The menu reflects home cooking, block parties, and island heritage blended with L.A. culture. It is 50% Mom, 50% Pop, and 100% Los Angeles. Meat is the canvas. Smoking is the art. The result is bold, honest food built from tradition and community.
Mom & Pop Schooling
Take cooked food from Dad, bring prepped food from Mom, and make sure there is enough for everybody. We learned how to cook, not from culinary classes, but from family functions. Hood house parties, community events, and neighborhood hangouts gave us the chops to create a menu and methodology that allows us to take care of guests that live nearby or around the world. Big Tony's CBBQ sauce or Ann's original Cornbread Bibingka, the flavors we offer come from the practice of feeding those we love.
We've grown up
Over the years, we've built a brand on the block our families settled down in. Downtown Los Angeles, Echo Park, Historic Filipinotown to be exact. A multi-ethnic, working class, immigrant enclave that exemplifies Southern California provincial hospitality. The food you eat and the people you'll meet is a true blue representation of real deal Los Angeles.
